Bonavista to Twillingate

Woke up and caught sunrise over the pond next to our accommodations, then headed out along the coast from Bonavista to Twillingate. We hiked our first national park, Terra Nova, and visited our first provincial park, Dungeon, enjoying more of the coast along the route. We experienced much of the weather Newfoundland has to offer in just over 400 kilometers. Sunny, foggy, rainy, misty, cold (5º C) to warm (13º C). windy, calm. I'm reminded of a quote from Mark Twain I heard a lot growing up "If you don't like the weather in New England, just wait a few minutes." That quote also applies to NL!

TIL  Newfoundland uses potholes as a speed deterrent and only does repairs when the hole is so deep you can lose a average-size dog or crack an axle.
